Child Safety Standards
🛡️ Child Safety Standards Policy: sahuPatrika
sahuPatrika is a matrimonial platform designed exclusively for adult users seeking a life partner. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and are fully committed to protecting children both on and off our platform.
1. Published Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Zero Tolerance Policy
sahuPatrika does not support child marriage and we strictly prohibits any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). This prohibition extends to all user-generated content, messages, profile information, and any activity facilitated through our platform. Any user found to be in violation of this policy will face immediate and permanent account termination and will be reported to the relevant legal authorities.
Age Restriction & Verification
Minimum Age: Our service is strictly for adults. The minimum age for registration is 18 years for women and 21 years for men, in compliance with legal standards for marriage eligibility.
Prohibited Activity: Users are strictly prohibited from using the platform to seek, facilitate, or promote marriage or any form of intimate interaction with a minor (under 18 years of age).
Enforcement: We employ both automated detection tools and human review processes to identify and prevent profiles that are suspected of being underage or having misrepresented their age.
Prohibited Content and Behavior
Prohibited content and conduct related to CSAE includes, but is not limited to:
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Uploading, sharing, or attempting to distribute any visual depiction of child sexual abuse.
Grooming: Any conduct intended to solicit, entice, or coerce a minor for sexual exploitation.
Sexualization of Minors: Any content that sexually objectifies or inappropriately depicts children.
2. In-App Mechanism for User Feedback and Reporting
We empower our user community to act as the first line of defense.
In-App Reporting
The sahuPatrika app includes a clear and accessible “Report” feature on every user profile and within private messaging threads.
Process: Users can report suspicious profiles, inappropriate messages, or content that violates this Child Safety Policy or our Community Guidelines directly within the application without needing to leave the app.
Priority Review: All reports concerning potential child safety violations or underage users are flagged as high priority and are reviewed by our trained Trust & Safety team immediately.
3. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
Immediate Action
Upon obtaining actual knowledge of the existence of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on the sahuPatrika platform, we will take the following steps immediately:
Content Removal: The content will be immediately secured and removed/disabled.
Account Termination: The account associated with the CSAM will be permanently terminated.
Preservation of Evidence: Relevant logs and metadata will be preserved in accordance with legal requirements for investigative purposes.
Law Enforcement Reporting
We will report confirmed instances of CSAM to the appropriate law enforcement and child protection authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the equivalent regional/national authority. We will cooperate fully with lawful requests from law enforcement agencies.
4. Compliance with Child Safety Laws
sahuPatrika is committed to full compliance with all applicable national and international child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 (India), and global standards for protecting children online. Our self-certification confirms that we have processes in place to report confirmed CSAM to the relevant authorities as required by law.
